Journaling – often misunderstood as an arduous, daily writing task – can serve as a concrete tool to safely contain and explore daily thoughts, feelings, complex emotions, goals, and achievements. This workshop offers an introduction to a comprehensive understanding of what journaling is and how it can serve as an aid for emotional well-being. Whether you are verbally or artistically inclined, and aspire for emotional well-being in your mediums of expression, or someone who does not feel comforted by either, the workshop accommodates all of you. Explore journaling with existing templates or develop your own, expand your vocabulary of emotions, and find your journaling style in your personal comfort zone. Through these four hands-on and reflective sessions, we invite you to pursue themes in emotional well-being and different tools of journaling, and quite literally, pen it down.

About the facilitators
Pratiksha wanted to be a lot of things before she decided to become a therapist. Through all her options the theme of stories, unique narratives, and nuances of language reared their head over and over. With a Masters in Applied Psychology, she has been exploring her role as a therapist with us, and nurturing her dream to build safe spaces for people to embrace their emotions, and share their stories.
Gunjan’s curiosity about the discipline of education and its impact on society has shaped her decisions about her career. She has moved from studying and working in the education sector, to development, and is now engaging with spaces and dialogues in mental health. She dreams of a community school where emotions have a significant place, sustainability is a way of life, and collaborative learning is encouraged. Stories fascinate her immensely, and she believes that they are a powerful medium of communication and learning.
