Chai-logue 80: Kahi Suni – Reflections on the impact of oral narratives
November 19, 2022 @ 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
FreeThe images of a bedtime story being told, or a bonfire horror tale being shared, or hearing someone regale the times gone by – invoke nostalgia, warmth, and sometimes hurt and longing as well. We are made of stories, and not all of them are preserved in tomes. Some just remain as memories that allow us to time travel. Oral narratives and story telling have long served to preserve cultures, and define futures. And at its core, they have provided for a space for conversation, holding and sharing in the spirit of community.
This Chai-logue, we’re inviting you to come share, listen, mourn or celebrate the many narratives inherited and narratives lost to time. And of course — don’t forget your cup of tea!
